LAHORE
The
officials of internal security of police left the deputy chief minister
of Indian Punjab alone and went to have dinner arranged by the APTMA in
the honour of the guest.
Interestingly, the officials
completely ignored even the presence of the Mujahid SP who had been
watching them while taking dinner.
Meanwhile, the
Operations DIG said show-cause notices to be issued to those officials
who had shown negligence while performing security duty.
The
IGP, Punjab, has asked the Lahore CCPO to submit a report within 24
hours regarding the officials who had left the security duty of the
deputy chief minister of Indian Punjab and went to take dinner.
Taking notice of the incident, the IG said that action would be taken against the negligent officials.
He said that it was the responsibility of the police to provide food to the police officials performing security duty of VVIPs.
Boy killed: A boy was stabbed to death by his paternal cousin in the limits of Defence A police station on Wednesday.
Police said victim Ali Raza, 16 and accused Aqeel lived in a house in Kasayanwali Galli, Walton Road.
On
the day of the incident, they exchanged harsh words with each other
over a minor issue. Later, accused Aqeel stabbed and wounded Ali and
escaped.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police have registered a case and shifted the body to mortuary.
ACCIDENT:
A man expired in a local hospital on Wednesday, shortly after he was
hit and injured by a speeding car in Raiwind City.
Police said victim Muhammad Ali was on his way when a recklessly driven car hit and injured him.
