Rs809m for epidemics control

The Punjab government on Tuesday has approved a health sector scheme at an estimated cost of Rs 809.403 million for “Prevention and Control of Programme of Epidemics in the Punjab Province”.

Four other development schemes of various sectors of the economy were also approved worth Rs 15.1092 billion in the 26th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2012-13 presided over by the Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman, Javaid Aslam.

Secretary Planning and Development Punjab Arif Anwar Baloch, members of the Planning and Development Board and other senior representatives of the relevant departments also attended the meeting. The approved development schemes included: construction of 60-bed THQ Hospital at Kot Radha Kishan, District Kasur at the cost of Rs 298.127 million, widening/improvement of Chawinda-Chobara-Sabz Peer-Charwa Road and others.
