Corruption at its peak in state institutions, says CJ PHC

PESHAWAR: Chief Justice Peshawar High Court (PHC) Dost Muhammad Khan has said that corruption is at its peak in state institutions despite the presence of NAB, the police and other anti-corruption departments including the FIA.

He was addressing a ceremony held to award certificates to judicial officers at the Judicial Academy here on Saturday.

The chief justice noted that it was shameful that Pakistan was the seventh most corrupt country in the world despite the fact that several institutions were working to eliminate this menace.

He said the only way left to get rid of this menace was rule of law in the country.

The chief justice also announced to launch FM Radio broadcasts from the Judicial Academy to guide people about access to justice.
