Two killed over property dispute

Two men were shot dead and a teenage girl injured over a property dispute in Future Colony, Landhi on Friday.

Sharafi Goth SHO Ijaz Khokhar told The News that 55-year-old Mahmood Ali Shah, his son-in-law 35-year-old Nayaz Ali Shah and daughter 15-year-old Kinza were shot by Qurban Ali Shah, Mahmood’s nephew.

“Qurban had come to meet his uncle at his home. After an argument, he shot Mahmood and the other two and escaped.”

The other family members took the three injured to a nearby hospital, where Mahmood and Nayaz expired. “Qurban attacked his uncle over a property dispute,” the police officer added.

Separately, a man was killed by a relative near Gol Masjid on Meera Shah Road.

The Docks SHO said 22-year-old Faheem was shot by Mujeeb after a verbal spar. The assailant later fled the scene. Faheem was taken to the Civil Hospital, where he breathed his last.

The police officer said Faheem and Mujeeb were relatives and hailed from Bannu. “The murder was motivated by old enmity.”

Woman’s body found

The decomposed body of a woman was found in a drain in the Ibrahim Hyderi police limits on Friday.

The body of the woman, who appeared to be 30 years old, was found floating in the drain near Sector 51/C in Korangi. An MLO at the JPMC said the body was two days old and there were some torture marks. She said the lady had been strangled.

Police said that first the woman had been kidnapped and after killing her, the kidnappers threw her body in the drain.
