KARACHI: Chief Selector of Pakistan Cricket Board Iqbal Qasim hopes that struggling Shahid Afridi will regain his rhythm in the upcoming National Twenty20 ahead of the eagerly-awaited series against arch-rivals India.
“Hopefully, Afridi will do well in the competition,” said the chief selector. “Afridi is a fine player and has served Pakistan cricket a lot. I feel there is much cricket left in him. The tournament is going to be a good opportunity for him and I hope he will avail himself of the chance.” Afridi is making extensive preparation for the event.
