ISLAMABAD: PML-Q president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that the incumbent parliament and provincial assemblies would complete their constitutional tenure while the next general elections would be held in April or in end of May.
Welcoming the tribal leaders from Swat here at the PML House, Ch Shujaat told reporters that the elections were inevitable as there was no way to escape the polls. Responding to a question, Shujaat advised the political pundits not to underestimate the political muscle of his party and said that nobody should underestimate his party in the upcoming elections.
He said PML-Q opposed the idea to appoint any military person as chief of any accountability commission and claimed that any such decision would create differences among the military, parliament and judiciary.
