SUKKUR: The Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, told the media here on Monday that Karachi, Hyderabad and Khairpur had been declared as the most sensitive cities during Muharram.
He said there was no need for calling the Army for security purposes during Muharram.
He said that police and Rangers had taken foolproof security measures for ensuring that the law and order situation remained under control during Muharram.
The chief minister said some forces had been attempting to destabilize the province before the general elections.
Shah said that the Election Commission had postponed by-election in Kandyaro because of the month of Muharram. He said that just one incident of target killing was reported in Karachi in the last 24 hours.
