JAMAAT e Islami announced a countrywide protest day on Nov 23 against Israeli attack on unarmed Palestinian Muslims.
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday after returning from Sudan where he attended a three day world convention of Islamic movements hosted by Tehrik Islami Sudan, JI lesder Baloch appealed to all religious parties to join in protest to express solidarity against genocide which threatened Palestinian Muslims, condemn US patronage of Israel for exterminating the Muslims from occupied Palestinian lands and urge world community to increase pressure for solving the Palestinian issue with justice so that over ten million Palestinians living in exile for three generations could return to their homeland. He said Palestinian representatives in the convention told the participants that the situation in Gaza was a one-sided genocide since US has been providing sophisticated arms and ammunition to Israel while on the other hand Gaza has been blockaded from all sides for the last many years and even food and medicines were not allowed to reach there.
Referring to the talks to Syrian representatives, Baloch said US was deliberately delaying a peaceful solution in Syria to protect Bashar ul Asad and to allow maximum destruction of Syrian infrastructure, economy and human resource. Syrian people have risen against Asad to remove him but US, EU and other countries had been delaying a solution by citing fears of veto from Russia and China which was based on baseless reports.
