Two ST members among 7 killed in Karachi

KARACHI: Two activists of a political party among seven people were killed in various incidents of firing in the metropolis.

According to the police, a man, identified as Shahzaib Khan was gunned down in Gulshan e Iqbal block 13-D.

In another incident, one person was killed while other sustained injuries in Bilal Colony area of Korangi. Later, the injured person succumbed to injuries during medical treatment in the hospital.

Another person was shot dead at a petrol pump located in Sakhi Hassan area. The victim was a worker of puncture shop of the petrol pump.

Police said that two persons were also killed in New Karachi sector 5 when unidentified armed assailants opened fire at them. The deceased were identified as Abdul Razzaq and Muhammad Ali.

Meanwhile, Sunni Tehreek (ST) spokesman said that Abdul Razzaq and Muhammad Ali were associated with the party.

Another person was shot to death in Walika area of Banaras.
