PM gives away prizes to special children

LAHORE

Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf on Monday distributed gifts and prizes among special children in an event organised by the Make a Wish Foundation at the Governor’s House.

The ceremony was also attended by Governor Makdhoom Ahmed Mehmood, Make a Wish Foundation founder Ishtiaq Baig, former British Parliament Member Chaudhry Sarwar, Tariq Khan, Shazia Manzoor and Musarrat Misbah.

The governor said children were precious gifts and loving them, particularly those who were fighting disease bravely, was tantamount to worship.

Lauding the role of the foundation, he said he was pleased that like Europe and the US, the organization was also playing a key role in Pakistan by bringing smiles to the faces of deserving children. He said the services of the foundation were commendable and more bodies should also come into existence in Pakistan so that children fighting fatal diseases were encouraged to face their problems fearlessly.
