LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said the nation is aware of the negative designs of such political jugglers who have willingly got the nationality of other countries and have suddenly appeared in Pakistan with the specific imported agenda to derail its democratic system.
He said the masses would not allow the negative tactics of such elements to succeed. He said those raising the slogans of change and revolution in the country should first reform themselves.
He said the Punjab government of Pakistan Muslim League-N had laid the foundation of a real change in the province by following the policies of merit and transparency. He said all-out resources had been utilised for the betterment of the deprived segments of society for raising their living standard and hundreds of thousands of poor families were benefiting from the ongoing welfare programmes of the provincial government.
Talking to the assembly members of various districts on Sunday, the chief minister said the nation was still under the shocks given by the corruption rulers when the jugglers enjoying a luxurious life in foreign countries had imposed themselves on the people to increase their sufferings.
He said 180 million people of Pakistan wanted to know how those leading a peaceful life abroad had suddenly remembered their own country. He said when the country was facing natural calamities like floods and dengue, those raising the slogans of change and revolution were relaxing abroad and enjoying luxuries of life.
He said the people would not be deceived by the misleading propaganda of the imported elements.He said Zardari and his cronies had set records of corruption in the country. He said the masses wanted to get rid of the corrupt mafia as well as political jugglers. He said the people would not allow anyone to derail democratic system.
The chief minister said that inefficient rulers of Islamabad had pushed the nation into darkness through their wrong policies and corruption. He said the country would be brought out of crises and put on road to progress under the leadership of PML-N President Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. He said that holding timely elections was essential for the solidarity and survival of the country and no delay in this regard would be tolerated.
He said the Punjab government had launched the process of development in the province and, if Almighty Allah gave opportunity, this successful programme would be expanded to the whole country for the benefit of every citizen.
