Officials asked for steps to enhance tax collection

KARACHI: Ali Arshad Hakeem, chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), has directed officials to take all measures for enhancing revenue collection, according to a statement.

The chairman emphasised on using all the measures provided in respective laws to enhance revenue collection, according to the statement issued by the Regional Tax Office (RTO) Karachi.

The chairman along with Asrar Raouf, member, Inland Services, visited the RTO on December 30, 2012.

In his address, the chairman stressed on the importance of using the available intelligence and information technology tools to maximise tax revenue in a fair and just manner.
