DUBAI: Pakistan’s opener Nasir Jamshed, the top scorer in the recent Pakistan-India One-day International series with 241 runs, has made a huge jump in the latest ICC Player Rankings for ODI batsmen.
Nasir, who hit back-to-back centuries in Chennai and Kolkata to help Pakistan win the series against the traditional rivals India, has jumped 45 places to 31st spot.
Nasir’s exploits with the bat fetched him the Player of the Series award and a career-best position of 588 points.
The Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni returned among the top five after putting up a consistent performance with the bat in the series, which Pakistan won 2-1. Dhoni’s 203 runs from the three games helped him move up two places to fourth in the batting table.
