ISLAMABAD: A
crucial meeting between Interior Minister Rehman Malik and Tehreek
Minjahjul Quran Chief Tahirul Qadri is most likely to be held in Lahore
on Monday.Sources said that during the meeting, Rehman Malik will convey
a special message of President Asif Ali Zardari to Tahirul Qadri
convincing him to call off the announced January 14 long march in the
wake of the imminent threats of the Taliban striking the long march
participants.The sources further said the interior minister was
scheduled to leave for Lahore today for a meeting with the TMQ chief but
he could not fly due to a dense fog which has gripped the federal
capital, marring the flight schedules. Rehman Malik, the sources added,
would be leaving for Lahore on Monday.The sources further said Rehman
Malik would make a possible telephonic contact between President Asif
Ali Zardari and Tahirul Qadri.
