FBR employees promoted

LAHORE: The Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has approved the promotion of 4,248 inspectors of the Inland Services and Customs of the Federal Board of Revenue. Of them, 12,00 inspectors have been promoted to Grade 16 from 14.

A representative of the All Pakistan Tax Employees’ Association (APTEA) Aslam Pervez told The News Tuesday the prime minister had agreed to the longstanding demand of the association of the inland services and customs by approving the upgradations of the posts.

The government has also promoted all Class IV employees of the FBR which were more than 5,000 in line with the policy of the establishment division, he said.
