ROME: Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba could move to either AC Milan or Juventus in the January transfer window, according to his agent Carlos Arino Bajo.
In an interview with an Italian Bajo said Drogba had been in contact with both Serie A clubs over a potential transfer after only six months with Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua.
“I think there is a good chance that he might come to Italy now,” Bajo said.
“There has been contact with Milan and Juventus to understand the contract situation with the Chinese and we will have further contact and meetings with them both next week.”
Meanwhile, AC Milan’s bid to sell Robinho to Brazilian top flight side Santos floundered early on Saturday after the clubs failed to agree on a transfer fee, it was reported.
Milan have slapped a 10m price tag on the talented Brazilian while Santos offered only seven million according to ANSA news agency.
ANSA also reported that another Brazilian side that had shown an interest in purchasing Robinho, Atletico Mineiro, had now called off talks.
In another possible transfer, Perth Glory are in talks with the management of Michael Owen about bringing the former England player to Australia’s A-League, reports said Saturday.
Owen, 33, who scored 40 goals in 89 internationals for England and had stints at Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester United, is currently playing for Stoke City in the English Premier League.
Glory have one spare position in their squad for an international player after releasing Irish striker Billy Mehmet this week and do not have a marquee player.
A Glory spokesman confirmed the club was interested in securing Owen’s services, but said negotiations were in their infancy.
Defender Jerome Polenz Saturday re-signed for a further A-League season with the Western Sydney Wanderers and expects more German players to follow him and play in Australia.
Polenz, 26, said his game was thriving at the newest A-League club who are third in the league and he was keen to stay in Australia.
Italian striker Graziano Pellehas signed for Feyenoord on a permanent deal from Parma, theDutch club said in a statement on Saturday.
The 27-year old started his career at Lecce before joining AZ Alkmaar, where he left after four years for Parma.
La Liga title chasers Atletico Madrid on Friday agreed to loan Portuguese defender Silvio Azevedo to rock-bottom rivals Deportivo La Coruna until the end of the season.
