Anti-polio teams in Bajaur to get ecurity cover

KHAR: The FC and Khassadar Force personnel would provide security to the anti-polio teams in Bajaur Agency, official sources said on Wednesday.

The sources said Khassadar and FC soldiers had been deputed with the vaccinators during the ongoing vaccination drive. “The step has been taken after the attack on the anti-polio teams in Karachi and Peshawar,” the sources added.

The sources added around 225,000 children would be vaccinated during the campaign and that Jirgas were being held with tribal elders.
