Will Women Date Older Virgins?

There have been countless books and movies written about men who have maintained their virginity well into their 20s, 30s and even 40s. I'm sure you remember the movie "The 40-Year-Old Virgin." Typically, in these storylines, the man is desperately trying to find someone, anyone, to have sex with so he no longer has to bear the embarrassing title of "virgin."
This is largely due to the fact that men who haven't had sex by age 17 are considered "losers" by their peers and are made fun of. What a shame. Take it from me, nothing could be further from the truth.

There are two types of male virgins.

There's the unsophisticated guy who doesn't have the first clue about how to approach women and the guy who chooses to remain celibate because of his spiritual beliefs. Yes, types do exist, and each is presented with their own unique set of circumstances surrounding their sexuality.

Personally, I think men who have maintained their virginity past the age of 20 should be thrown a huge celebratory bash and given a medal. For starters, peer pressure is unbearable for men in those earlier years — what with all their friends bragging about their sexual conquests in the locker room.

There is a certain expectation during that time in a young man's life that if he doesn't "get laid," he is a loser/dork/nerd/dweeb. The jocks and studs of the school poke fun at the guy who hasn't gotten past first base, and all too often, male virgins are subject to the worst kind of torment.

This leads to a poor self-image and low self-esteem, perpetuating the problem because the guy feels even less confident about approaching women.

On the other hand, the guy who chooses to abstain from sex may endure ridicule and mockery but does so knowing he is being persecuted for his religious doctrine, which somehow makes it easier to endure.
The man who is saving himself for marriage will most certainly find a woman who feels the same way, someone who believes sex is a sacred experience to be shared by two people who love each other after they get married.

If you are this guy, don't worry. You will find your virgin bride, and the two of you will fumble around and endure the awkwardness of the first time together.
"If you're a male virgin and you're feeling insecure
about this aspect of your sexuality, stop it!"

Women like to take the lead.

If, on the other hand, you want to have sex but simply have not found a woman to do it with, don't panic. I'll let you in on a little secret — most women think virgins are hot.
Sure we want a man who knows his way around the bedroom and has the capacity to make us scream with delight, but we also know we can teach a man how to do that. Finding out you're a virgin means you're a blank canvas, one we can turn into a masterpiece. Women are always up for such a challenge.
We don't get turned off or disappointed when we find out a guy has never had sex. We usually get aroused and pursue him intently. The thought of becoming the very first woman a man has ever had sex with is very alluring because we recognize what a gift it would be for a man to give his virginity to us.
Usually, when a guy admits he has never had sex, he will be met with a conversation like:
  • "You're a virgin?"
  • "Do tell me more!"
  • "Why are you still a virgin?"
  • "Are you saving yourself for marriage?"
Male virgins are a rare and intriguing breed. They are usually of high moral character, demonstrating self-control, integrity and values worthy to be praised. After all, a man can always have sex with a prostitute if he really wants to lose his virginity.

The fact that he hasn't called upon a working woman or had sex with some random chick just to get it over with says a lot about who he is as a person.

If you're a male virgin and you're feeling insecure about this aspect of your sexuality, stop it! You are a treasure to the world, and women everywhere are looking for a guy like you.
You have the choice to keep your virginity a secret if you feel that uncomfortable about it, but I suggest you be upfront and honest. You will be amazed at the results and I would be willing to wager you won't stay a virgin much longer.
