Secretary General PPP (Sindh) Taj Haider has said that complete rectification of voters’ lists in Karachi is essential for the fair and free elections.
He said this during his meeting with city chief of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Mohammed Hussain Mehanti at the Idara-e-Noor-e-Haq on Friday.
Mehanti said that the JI was the first party to raise voice against the irregularities in the voters’ lists at the behest of certain party.
He said it was essential that the Supreme Court orders were implemented by the Election Commission in full letter and sprit. Mehanti said that the JI was ready to cooperate with all the political parties in this regard.
