PM takes notice of petrol shortage

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf took notice of media reports that there was petrol shortage in the country and asked Dr Waqar Masood Khan, Secretary Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources to submit a report.

The Secretary informed the Prime Minister that there was no petrol shortage in the country and only some complaints have been made in Islamabad where, due to fog, deliveries could not have reached in time.

The situation, the Secretary informed, has now improved as deliveries are now reaching petrol stations.

The Prime Minister directed the Secretary Petroleum to constantly monitor the petrol availability in the country and ensure its uninterrupted supply to the consumers.
