Islamabad: A three-day Pakistan Mountain Festival will start here today (December 10) at Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) in connection with International Mountain Day to be observed on December 11 every year.
The festival is organised by Development Communications Network (DEVCOM) in collaboration with Social
Economic Environment Development, EvK2CNR, ICIMOD, Gojal Educational and
Cultural Association, which would continue till December 12.
A representative of DEVCOM informed APP that the festival would open with Mountain Art and Craft Exhibition while on the second day of the moot outdoor youth activities has been scheduled at Margalla hills to apprise the youngsters with the basic techniques of mountaineering.
In the evening a ‘Mountain Music Night’ will be arranged at PNCA auditorium to entertain the audience and amuse them with the folk songs in the melodious voices of local singers.
On the last day of the festival the concluding ceremony of the exhibition will be held at 11. a.m.
