How Body Wraps Work For Weight Loss

Body wraps can remove excess and unwanted waste or toxins in the body's tissue detoxifying the body. They can help tighten the skin and mobilize fat so it can be eliminated from the body naturally. A body wrap is capable of removing up to 20 inches from the body in addition to reduce weight and cellulite. So body wraps can be tried for weight loss.

Body wraps work in two stages: absorption and squeezing. In the absorption stage you apply a wrap on your body to open the pores of skin, then the fluids are extracted and absorbed by the substance in the wrap. This is followed by squeezing which is simply compacting the tissues together.

Because the fluids have been extracted, the empty pockets between the cells are created. So squeezing them together would result in a thinner and leaner looking body. The body bandages and wraps squeeze the body part and the empty pockets.

There are several good absorbents: sea clay, herbal, seaweed, aloe vera, etc. The effectiveness of the wrap depends on the ingredients used.

The basic wrap is a mixture of a clay and some salt, usually sea salt or epsom. Herbs like calendula powder, chamomile flower powder, fennel seed powder, etc. and essential oils such as lavender, lemon, lemon grass, rosemary, etc. can also be added. Glycerin, whole milk powder or butter milk powder is used as wetting agent.

It should be noted that the exact proportions of ingredients are not important but the repeated use of body wrap will be useful in removing inches and reducing body weight.

How To Make A Body Wrap?
Choose a warm room so that the wrap does not get cool quickly.
Warm approximately one liter of distilled water in a stainless steel vessel and add all of the ingredients. Mix well and allow the mixture to cool so that you can touch it.
Dip a small cloth sheet in the mixture and wrap your body starting from your ankles. Take another sheet and continue wraping your body. Leave the wraps there for one hour.
Then take a bath.
Take a hot bath on the second day to open the pores and release accumulated toxins from the skin.

There is no scientific evidenced that shows that body wraps can really give you long term weight loss. The effect can be temporary which make you feel a little thinner reducing a few pounds due to water weight loss.
