Easy Beauty Tips for Winter

W inters are here again and I feel sad for my skin, since it has started to dry up and turn flaky. The feeling is just depressing, however, worry not, since I am here to give you the best beauty tips that would solve your skin problems for winters and give you a supple skin. Here they come:
  1. Drink baby drink: hey, it's not what you think it to be…... (wink… wink!) It is the life giving water silly! Yes, water rejuvenates dry skin and tends to make it supple and vibrant. One should drink plenty of water in winter season to stay hydrated. Body needs water, irrespective of the month or time of day. Lesser water means dry skin. One should consume 8 glasses every day. In my case, I drink at least two glasses of warm water mixed with a teaspoon of lime juice.
  2. Use copious amount of sunscreen: the mighty sun can play havoc with your skins, whether it is winter or summer. Hence, it is advised that one must apply a generous dose of a good sunscreen before venturing out. Remember to apply the cream on all the exposed parts of the body, including your feet and neck. One can use sweat proof sunscreen lotions that contain Spf 50.
  3. Go for monthly skin treatments: treatments like acne removal, pimple treatments and dry skin treatments are quite effective in dealing with dry and flaky skin during winters. Most of these treatments are done for keeping the skin supple and moisturized.
  4. Apply homemade facial masks: some homemade masks like curd and honey packs, ‘multani mitti' (Fullers Earth) and fruit masks are highly beneficial to treat skin problems during the winter season. One must use such masks every third day before bedtime.
  5. Moisturize your skin: it should be kept in mind that skin tends to become dry and flaky during winters, and as such needs to be moisturized every now and then. Invest in buying some good quality moisturizer that is readily available and suits your skin. I prefer to use Boroplus Advanced for moisturizing, since, it is gentle and does not cause oiliness. Always moisturize your skin during bedtime. Body parts like face, neck, hands and feet must be moisturized to keep them supple.
  6. Take care of dark circles with lotions and moisturizing creams: winters can make your eye region dry and patchy. It is a good idea to buy some cream based moisturizers that are made specially to treat dryness of the eyes and under eye region. Also, make sure to apply some cooling agents like cucumber after a hard day's labor. Doing this will sooth your eyes and make them stay healthy and active.
  7. Use conditioners: winters can make your hair dry. Hence, it is vital to apply some good quality conditioner immediately after you have shampooed your hair. Using no conditioner would make you hair dry and brittle. Many beauticians advice the use of Pantene and L'Oreal conditioners as these products are effective in conditioning hair.
  8. Using anti aging creams: one of the best beauty tips is to apply anti sagging creams that deal with sagging skin. Our skin tends to dry up and sags from daily exposure to sun and grime. Hence, it is advised to use a daily anti sagging cream that keeps your skin beautiful and prevents it from sagging. Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting cream is one such product that is very effective.
