ISLAMABAD: People from all walks of life have welcomed Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Quaid Altaf Hussain’s message, instructing his party workers not to go to the Supreme Court on January 7, 2013.
People believe that it was a wise move on his part, which will help reduce tensions in an environment of extreme hostilities. Political, social, diplomatic and public circles are of the view that Altaf’s message shows that MQM leadership is in capable and sensible hands.
Journalists say that the decision has disappointed the political elements who were trying to pursue their vested interests by creating an air of clash and chaos. They said that the country is already in grip of difficulties and any new adventures could take the situation from bad to worse.
A wave of joy has run through the society after airing of Altaf’s statement on TV channels and newspapers received joyous calls raining down to their offices.
