Window Cleaning Tips

Window cleaning is one of the domestic chores that doesn't have to be done every day or every week. It is an important task, though, and the more often you do it, the better.

Most people use cleaning products bought from the supermarket to maintain the shine of their windows. These cleaners are not the only option to accomplish this chore, though. I even recommend that you don't use detergents bought from supermarkets because they contain toxic ingredients. They pollute the air and harden your breathing. Some of them might even cause you allergies and skin irritations.

How to clean your windows without chemical-based detergents, then?
The easiest way to clean not only windows, but all kinds of glass surfaces is with a mixture of white vinegar and rubbing alcohol. Mix equal amounts of the products in a squirt bottle, so that you can apply the solution more easily and spray the window you want to clean. Take a piece of newspaper and wipe with it. Newspapers do wonders on glass surfaces and don't leave any fibres or stains.
Another effective window cleaner is a mixture of one cup white vinegar, eight cups hot water, and eight drops peppermint essential oil.

Don't use cloths to clean your windows because they leave small fibres on the glass and don't remove all marks. Always clean the window frames before you clean the glass because if you don't, you will make your task harder. You can use a mixture of water and liquid castile soap for the purpose. Apply the solution with a sponge.

Window cleaning is not a hard chore, but it requires some skill, too. If you don't have time to do it, or if you don't know how to do it, or if you are afraid of heights and can't clean the windows on the second floor, don't hesitate to use some professional help from Fantastic Cleaners Kensington. They offer very good cleaning services at affordable prices. Moreover, if you call now you will be able to take advantage of their special autumn offers.
