I brought this Little Tikes Kingston Wooden Play House for my daughters 3rd birthday and she loves it. She loves running in and out of the shed and hiding her dolls in there so we thought we would get her a playhouse that is hers.
The playhouse is a perfect size and will last her a good few years. Inside the play house there is one spacious room with a window and an entrance door. There is a section outside the door that has elegant railings on either side to create a decked area, perfect for a few chairs.
This is great as a play house or a den, secret society HQ or even a hangout area when she gets older. The house is made out of wood that has been treated to stop rot and decay during the winter seasons.
The only cons I would say about this Little Tikes product is it took a while to assemble some of the parts and it needed two people to do so. Also once it is up in a space you can't move it to somewhere else as it's so heavy and awkward to move.
Other than that the playhouse is so much fun and well built. It's so handy to have and encourages so much role play and imagination. She has taken a chair in there and a table and a few kids toys. She got this playhouse in the spring and has played in it every day so far with her older brother. She plays in it in all weather and she closes the window and door when it's a bit colder. We have put some rugs down in there to keep it a bit warmer for her when it's cold.
I like the fact it has plastic windows and doors, it makes it easier for my daughter to open and close them and I was worried that the door might swell over the winter with all the rain and make it difficult to move the door. It's also good that I can squeeze inside the playhouse and play with her rather than getting her a climbing frame that isn't suitable for adults.
Overall I am pleased with this product, although it may be expensive I guess this is to pay for the wood and have it conditioned. It is by far her favourite toy and has been for many months now! It will definitely last her for years to come as there is plenty of room inside for her and a friend.
