Karak accident death toll rises to 14

KARAK: A bus-trailer collision has resulted in the deaths of at least 14 here on late Friday night.

Reportedly the tragedy struck in Ispina area of Bannu when a speeding 18-wheeler rammed into a passenger bus coming form the opposite direction on Indus Highway.

The roadside mishap also left 21 passengers injured. They were shifted to DGQ hospital Karak.

The condition of four is said to be serious and have been transferred to Peshawar.

Police later confirmed the number of casualties.

"At least 14 people have been killed, whereas 21 are reported to have been injured", local cops said.

Rescue services have been kick-started.
