Bangalore, the capital of the Karnataka state, is officially called Bengaluru. Known as the ‘Garden City', Bangalore is covered with gardens and gorgeous parks. Hubli, one of the key producers of cotton and peanuts in the country, is located in the Indian state of Karnataka. The name Hubballi means the ‘flowering creeper' which refers to a kind of plant in that area. Hubli was under Maratha control for a long time until the British rule. Hubli is a main trading centre of Karnataka with a number of industries such as leather and goods industry, steel furniture, food processing and electrical and machine tools industry. Hubli is now a key center of IT industry. Other places of tourist interest in Hubli include the Nrupatunga Hill, Sayed Fateh Shah Vali, Unkal Lake, Chandramouleshwara Temple and the Glass House. Hubli is famous for some religious places where Prophet Mohammed's hair of beard is preserved.
Hubli is connected to Bangalore by rail and road.
There are several trains running from Hubli to Bangalore. Some of them are Yesvantpur Biweekly Express, Intercity Express, Kochuveli Express, Chalukya Express and Jan Shadabdhi Express.
Cabs charge Rs. 7900/- for economy vehicle. This charge varies depending upon the vehicle you hire. For more than four tourists the taxi charge is around Rs. 11,200/-.
If you have your own vehicle it takes approximately 6 hours 50 minutes to cover 412 km from Hubli to Bangalore depending upon the vehicle. It is affordable as well as comfortable.
There are several packages offered by travel portals through online that provide well furnished accommodation with free breakfast and sightseeing arrangements. Bangalore offers a lot of hotels according to the budget of the tourists but these hotels should be booked well in advance during seasons.
