JAMAAT-E-ISLAMI Acting Ameer Ch. Muhammad Aslam Saleemi has urged Islamabad to immediately requisition a meeting of the UN Security Council to discuss and chalk out a joint action against the Zionist attacks on Gaza, resulting in heavy casualties.
Reacting strongly to Zionists’ attacks on unarmed Palestinians, he condemned it and said Israel was continuing atrocities to unarmed Palestinian civilians only because it enjoyed the US backing. He said it was only due to the anti-Islam and anti-Muslim policies of the US that Zionists and Hindus were shedding blood of Muslims in Palestine and Kashmir.
The JI Acting Ameer said the US slaves, ruling this country, were the real hurdle in the liberation of the two occupied Muslim territories, Palestine and Kashmir. He said scores of resolutions had been moved in the United Nations against the genocide of Muslims in the two states but no action could be taken only because of the US intransigence and its patronage of Israel and India, as Washington vetoed resolutions in favour of Muslims.
Ch. Aslam Saleemi demanded the government summon the US envoy in the country and lodge an official protest over Israeli atrocities. He also appealed to the world community to take notice of the Palestinians’ massacre and protest over the unlawful Zionist occupation of Palestine and the Qibla-e-Awwal besides recurring attacks on Gaza.
He prayed for those martyred in attacks and expressed condolences with the bereaved families.
rally against Israel: The Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) on Friday staged a rally against Thursday’s Israeli aggression which caused deaths of 15 innocent Palestinians.
A large number of IJT activists and students participated in the demo held on Punjab University (PU) New Campus. The protesters were carrying placards and banners inscribed with anti-Israeli and pro-Palestinian slogans. The IJT office-bearers said the OIC, the sole body of Muslim representation at the world level, had become a dead horse which had completely failed to raise the voice of Muslim Ummah.
Meanwhile, IJT Pakistan Nazim Zubair Safdar has announced Saturday (today) as a solidarity day with the people of Palestine.
