Perth is more than a sleepy city where many Singaporean kids are sent for further studies. While exploring the wonderful weather and beautiful beaches, you will suddenly realize where is everyone? The capital city of Australian state of Western Australia is the fourth most populous city in Australia. Majority of the metropolitan area of Perth is situated on the Swan Coastal Plain, which is a narrow strip between the Darling Scarp (low coastal escarpment) and Indian Ocean. There are some beautiful and stunning natural attractions in Perth which you will not find anywhere around the world.

'Staircase to the moon' is a breathtaking natural phenomenon which can be witnessed from March to October. It is caused when the rising full moon reflects on the exposed mudflats at the extremely low tides. A beautiful optical illusion of stairs which will let you feel to reach the moon. It occurs along the coastline of Dampier, Port Hedland, Onslow, Point Samson Peninsula, and Broome. The local night markets complement the staircase in Broome, where you can spot local fare and talented entertainers. The time of moon staircase slightly vary for each location, so you need to remain updated with the timings.

Beyond the skyline, there's an untamed wilderness rich in red earth, natural bushland, and roaring waterfalls in Perth. Serpentine National Park, an hour away from Perth, is a picturesque park in the ancient Darling Scarp. The picnickers love the cascading waterfall and rock-rimmed pool. You can also visit other national parks like Kings Park and Yanchep National park.
Australia is also known for calm beaches and the most beautiful in the world are in Perth. You can watch the gleaming Indian Ocean under the deep blue sky while enjoying the sun.

There are a lot of beaches to suit every one such as Cottesloe beach perfect for all ages flock to surf, swim or snorkel. Scarborough Beach is a firm favourite of teens and adults. At night, the beach becomes alive with pubs and clubs.

Another must-to-see thing in Perth is the Perth Hills Wine Region. This region of western Australia is gaining popularity as the home of some of the finest wineries. With an abundance of options for outstanding wines, the Shiraz and Viognier are definite stand out with more unusual varieties like Zinfandal, Tempranillo, Mouvedre, and Durrif. The Perth hills are uniquely characterised with charming cellar doors, operated by local families. So, the city of beaches, National parks, and finest wines can be your next holiday destination.
