Perhaps the most important phase in the life of a woman is when she conceives a child. Being a mother gives a woman immense joy which cannot be compared with any other happiness. Today, when a mother conceives a child a lot of things need to be taken care of. The health of the mother determines the health of the child to a very great extent. However it is extremely essential in today's era that all necessary information about the developments and changes in both the mother and the child need to be provided. There are many techniques which show these changes and developments.
Today knowing about the developments of the foetus is very simple and easy. There are tests conducted at various stages of pregnancy which would reveal the noticeable changes. As the pregnancy weeks pass by, the foetus undergoes different developments. For example, when the mother is 29 weeks pregnant, the weight of the baby is about 2.5 pounds and measures about 15 inches from head to heel. The developing brain is given enough space by the growing head. The baby also starts to pack on fats.
The baby's bones are completely developed when the mother is 29 weeks pregnant. However the bones are very pliable and soft. The skull will be quite flexible till delivery so that it can easily pass through the birth canal. The baby also has a regular sleep and wake cycle. At this stage, the mother's uterus is about 3 to 4 inches above the belly button. The weight would be about 15 to 20 pounds. The baby is very active at this stage and its movements can be felt by the mother very well.
When the mother is 30 weeks pregnant, the weight of the baby is about 3 pounds and measures about 15.7 inches from head to heel. The brain of the baby begins to fold like an adult's brain and the neurons start to develop in six different layers. The eyesight of the baby also begins to develop although it's not very sharp. The amniotic fluid in the womb decreases at this stage because the baby requires more room. When the mother is 300 weeks pregnant, the uterus is about 4 inches above the belly button. Mild pokes can be experienced by the mothers which are caused by the arms and legs of the baby.
The mother may also experience crankiness due to the growing belly besides other uncomfortable symptoms of pregnancy and hormonal changes. It is however very essential for the partner to be very supportive. The changes which take place should be made known to both the partners so that it becomes easy for them to face the situations.
