2 dacoits killed in Lahore ‘encounter’

Lahore: In yet another encounter, Punjab police killed two dacoits in Tibi City area of Lahore, Geo News reported.

Police said that acting on a tip off about the presence of a proclaimed offender Kashif aka hero, they swooped down a house located in Tibi City. The police said that Kashif and his aides opened fire on raiding party and were killed in retaliatory shots fired by the law enforcers.

They said that an accused managed to flee. The bodies were taken to a morgue in government run hospital for autopsy.

Speaking to media, SP CID Riaz Shah said that Kashif was wanted for his involvement in killing four people in Shahidra as a professional killer and injuring four others in Tibi City. Besides, he was also involved in kidnapping for ransom. The other accused was identified as Ahsan Shah.
