Rawalpindi: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) recovered 10 kilograms of heroin from the Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA) being transported to Spain on Thursday night, the ANF said.
The 25 packets of heroin powder were concealed in books and garments, sources said, adding that the racket involved in drug smuggling was based in Karachi.
Sources said that the heroin was concealed in eight books caught from consignment booked for Amsterdam on a connecting flight Karachi-Islamabad-Amsterdam. The total consignment contained 25 packets having shirts, jeans and belts, ANF sources said.
