When it comes to marriage, it isn't always easy to keep the romance alive. There are other things that get in the way like your jobs, kids and keeping your home in order. I've been married to my husband for a long time now and I can tell you that there are just times when we rather be just left alone and not bothered. I know this isn't good for any marriage and we need to make an effort for one another. Just recently we started doing some new things that you can do as well to help bring the romance back into your relationship.
 

One of the first things we did that has brought us closer together is setting one time during the week where we can go out just the two of us and talk and be together. This can be anything from going out to dinner, going to a mall and walking around together or just sitting on the couch at home. To do this what we usually send the kids to my parents house where they can spend time with grandma and grandpa and we can spend alone time together.

Another thing that you can do that can help rekindle the romance is going away on vacation with one another. Just recently my husband and I went on an all inclusive spa vacation to Los Cabos, Mexico and had a great time together. We booked treatments together and also had couples massages and were able to just relax with one another. For some couples you may not enjoy going to spas so you will need to figure out something that you both will enjoy doing together.

A third idea that you may consider to help bring you and your partner closer together is to try and do things for one another. I know that this doesn't sound romantic but doing little things for one another does help make you not only appreciate one another but also makes you feel loved. For me what I like to do is sometimes wake up early and make my husband lunch and also trying to get home early to make him dinner.

A fourth thing that you can try to do is to not to be afraid to show affectionate with one another. For my husband he hates to hold hands in public but I try to make an effort to either hold his arm or doing something else. Sometimes marriages get cold when there isn't much physcial contact between each other.

A man and a woman joined together in a marriage, taking vowels in the church. This is a manifestation of their unity, togetherness and affirmation before God witnessed by very close family members, friends and relatives.

It is the most exciting and at the same time, a lifelong commitment, to accept another person into your life and lead it jointly from that point on. Bible states: "A man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh". Genesis 2:24
This is plain and simple to understand and yet we are bombarded with the headlines of broken marriages. So what makes it so difficult to grasp such a simple concept that has been written in the book of God thousands years ago?

One may say it might be due to the fact that society progressed and in today's world people want to have a free will. If one is going to take this approach then it is worth exploring the consequences of this so called ‘free will'. As a result we see so many problems in our society, such as exhausted single parent families, irresponsible fathers and mothers, children in care and list goes on.
