NOWSHERA: Former Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed Saturday claimed that India, US and Israel were behind the attacks on the Bacha Khan International Airport
and the Mehran and Kamra airbases as they wanted to target the security installations of Pakistan.
He alleged that the US, India and Israel wanted to destabilise the Pak-Afghan region to gain control of the strategically important and resource-rich area.Qazi Hussain said the Pakistan-US alliance in the so-called ‘war on terror’ was posing threat to the security of the country as the US was using the anti-terror war for its own objectives and had no concern for Pakistan’s security.
He asked the policymakers to realise the dangers of the anti-Pakistan elements in the region and quit the alliance to ensure better future for the country. He advised the prime minister to dissolve the assemblies before March 18 and announce an interim setup for holding general elections to deny any excuse to the anti-democratic forces to disrupt the system.
The former chief of JI alleged that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was a group of blackmailers, adding that it wanted to blackmail the Supreme Court and Election Commission of Pakistan.
He said the preparation of the new voters’ lists and delimitation of Karachi would expose them. He claimed that the MQM had made the port city hostage and expressed the hope
that independent judiciary and free elections would put an end to the conspiracies of the MQM.
