Three killed in road accident

Rawalpindi

Three people were killed and five others were wounded in three different incidents here on Sunday, the police spokesman said.

Four members of a family including Rani, 30, Kainat, 12, Muneeb, 8, resident of Dhoke Syedan and Tariq Mehmood, 47, hailing from Nowshehra were wounded critically when a bus trampled them along with some other passengers at IJ Principal Road near Pirwadhai Morr, Rescue-1122 said. The injured were shifted to the hospital.

While, a motorcyclist identified as Moeen was killed and his mother was wounded when a dumper truck rammed into their motorcycle bearing registration number (RIL-4609) near wheat warehouse at IJ Principal Road, the police said. The police have arrested dumper truck driver Abdul Qayyum and took the dumper into custody.

In another incident, a person, Sajid Khan, 30, hailing from Nowshehra, was found murdered in his house with a deep wound from a blunt weapon in his head, in Sabzi Mandi.

While, the police found dead body of an unknown young man, apparently, heroin addict, lying in a locality near Tarnol, the police spokesman said.
