Getting a tattoo?

Tattoos may be popular forms of body art and expression, but they pose a number of potential health problems, the US Food and Drug Administration says.

Here’s the agency’s list of potential tattoo risks:

* An infection from a dirty needle.

* An allergic reaction to inks used.

* Development of scar tissue.

* Formation of granulomas (bumps) near the tattoo.
