LAHORE
PARTICIPANTS of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Punjab Unity Convention have claimed that Imran’s tsunami will never stop without bringing a meaningful and countrywide change in the coming elections.
Addressing Asif Zardari and the Sharifs, they claimed that after the party elections, the PTI would end their hypocritical and anti-masses style of politics.
The PTI convention became a merger of new and old workers and leaders of the party where a mammoth gathering was addressed by Ahsan Rasheed, Abdul Aleem Khan, Mian Muhammad Azhar and Sardar Aseff Ahmed Ali.
The speakers challenged Asif Zardari and the Sharif brothers not to create any hurdle to the change, decided by the masses. They said there was no old or new and everyone was supporting Imran Khan to build a new Pakistan. They said PTI election would be a big change and it would be the first political party in South Asia to hold party elections which would end the kinship and nominations like other political parties. They were of the view that including Lahore, the PTI would sweep elections all over the country and end the traditional politics of last 65 years.
Most of the speakers hailed the efforts of Ahsan Rasheed and Abdul Aleem Khan to unite the party at a platform. They said that those who had joined the PTI should be appreciated as they had left their old friendship and parties for the sake of national interest and for bringing about a change in the country. Aseff Ahmed Ali said in the present scenario, Imran was the only hope to bring about a change and he had vacated his NA seat in larger national interest.
Ex-Senator Tariq Chaudhry said the youth and ladies would be on the forefront of the PTI to make a new prosperous Pakistan.
Barrister Mansoor Sarwar said old and new workers and leaders of the PTI at a single platform due to the efforts of Ahsan Rasheed and Abdul Aleem Khan. Nosheen Haamed Meraj said the PTI had a great support of women. PTI workers and leaders from all over Punjab attended this unity convention in which ex-governor, federal & provincial ministers and members of parliament were present while a number of new leaders also joined the PTI on the occasion. The ISF, youth wing, labour, minority, culture & teachers wings from all 36 districts attended the event.
