Senator Pervaiz Rashid said on Sunday that Pervaiz Elahi deserved a medal for corruption and incomplete projects.
He expressed these views while addressing a press conference along with Provincial Minister for Auqaf Haji Ehsan-ud-Din Qureshi at 90-Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam. He said that like other projects, Pervaiz Elahi also left Quran Academy incomplete and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was completing it speedily. He said the lie of Pervaiz Elahi had reached even Egypt which he mentioned in his advertisement. Pervaiz Rashid said that Pervaiz Elahi had been raising slogans of electing Musharraf ten times in uniform and now he was publishing false advertisements in newspapers for electing Zardari.
Quran Board Chairman Ghulam Muhammad Sialvi was also present on the occasion. Pervaiz Rashid said that Deputy Prime Minister Pervaiz Elahi had fixed the plaque of his name to various projects during his era but left them incomplete.
He said that there were a number of such projects for which payments were made to contractors but they fled abroad. He said money which Pervaiz Elahi got through corruption and giving advertisements would be recovered from him.
