Two separate incidents of crime against minors created fear among the residents of Dhoke Lakhan and Lala Rukh causing a sense of insecurity among them.
In the first incident, a 10-year-old boy was gang raped in the area of Biscuit Factory Chowk falling in the jurisdiction of Saddar Bairuni Police Station on Saturday night, police said.
The alleged rapists hit the minor’s head with a brick on resistance and then raped him in unconscious condition. Another 7-year-old boy was kidnapped by two bike-riding captors in broad-day-light from the jurisdiction of the same police station, when he was going to a shop to buy sweets and disappeared from the scene. Fear gripped the area following the scary incident.
In the rape case, the minor’s father Mohammad Younas, resident of Dhoke Lakhan, lodged a complaint with the Saddar Bairuni Police saying that his son Waqar Younas was playing in the street along with his friends when two youth, later identified as Umar and Qasim, trapped him and took him to a house where they attempted to rape him but as he resisted, they hit his head with a brick and he fall unconscious and then they raped him, adding that the suspect threw his son in the street in unconscious condition and ran away.
The police have registered the case under sections 377 and 367-A of PPC against criminals nominated as Umar and Qasim.
In the kidnapping episode, which occurred in Lala Rukh, one Muhammad Sanaullah, lodged a complaint with the Sadar Bairuni Police Station stating that his 7-year-old son, Shaban Sanaullah, went to a shop to get sweets when two unknown bike-riders picked his son from the road near the shop and disappeared from the scene.
The police have registered the case under section 363 PPC but haven’t yet got any clue about the kidnappers.
