KARACHI: Kyhber-Pakhunthwa (KP) Sports Minister Syed Aaqil Shah has announced a grand reception in Peshawar to honour the newly crowned world snooker champion, Mohammad Asif, later this month.
Aaqil Shah, who is also the Senior Vice President of the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA), hinted at making Asif the guest of honour during the International Wrestling Championship to be held in Peshawar from December 7 to 9.
When asked about any financial reward for the triumphant cueist, he said that he would try to raise a handsome amount for him and contribute Rs1 million himself.
