Indus Highway blocked to protest low gas pressure

KARAK: The residents of Banda Daud Shah on Sunday blocked the Indus Highway for traffic to protest the low gas pressure.The protesters, led by a local leader of the Jamaat-e-Islami Maulana Tasleem Iqbal, and leaders of other political parties were holding banners and chanting slogans against the government and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited.The protesters complained that the consumers were facing immense problems due to low gas pressure despite the fact that Karak had many gas reservoirs. Setting a three-day deadline, they asked the relevant authorities to resolve the problem or they would launch a protest drive.
