LI bomb kills three Lashkar men

LANDIKOTAL: Three volunteers of the local anti-militants Amn Lashkar were killed in a bomb blast and clash with the Mangal Bagh-led Lashkar-e-Islam (LI) in the Khyber Agency, official sources said on Friday.

Three volunteers of the Lashkar were killed when a roadside bomb went off in Takhtakai area of Tirah valley, sources said. The slain volunteers were identified as Waris Khan, Yar Aman and Zar Nabi.

The sources said the volunteers were returning to their homes after offering the Friday prayers when they were targetted with a roadside bomb.Meanwhile, another two Lashkar volunteers, Abdul Wahid and Akhtar Amin, sustained injuries in a clash with Lashkar-i-Islam fighters in Katakanri area of Zakhakhel in Landikotal tehsil. Dozens of militants belonging to LaI attacked the Marozai post of local Lashkar in Katakanri area.
