JAMRUD: The security forces arrested 15 suspected persons during a search operation here on Wednesday, official sources said.
The
sources said that the forces launched door-to-door search operation in
Ghundai and Wazir Dhand area in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency and
arrested 15 suspects.
The forces also seized two pickup
trucks and a motorcycle during the search and shifted the suspects to
various lockups in Khyber Agency for interrogation.
The security forces had also rounded up more than 200 persons during a search operation but they were later freed.
Meanwhile,
the security forces defused a bomb fixed to a Nato container destined
for Afghanistan in Teddi Bazaar in Jamrud town. The sources said that
unknown persons had fixed the bomb to the Nato-supply container, which
was spotted by the tribesmen. The security forces reached the area and
defused the explosives.
