Established in 1902, Manitowoc is a global company specializing in products used for construction industries.
It is reportedly said that HCL has become Manitowoc’s global engineering partner for its crane operations spanning in the Americas, EMEA, and Asia/Pacific regions, after the latest deal.
Reliable aides cited that Manitowoc and HCL will now establish a global engineering center in Pune to support Manitowoc's design centers and expedite company’s new product development initiatives in emerging markets including India, China, and Brazil. As far as the service offerings are concerned, HCL will significantly focus around product design, structural engineering, embedded software value engineering and hardware engineering.
Jens Ennen, Senior Vice President Global Engineering and Innovation at Manitowoc has shared his view regarding company’s latest deal with HCL. He said, “Partnering with HCL enables us to further strengthen the core tenets of our strategy i.e. to provide superior products and capitalize on global growth opportunities”.
GH Rao, President, Engineering and R&D services at HCL Technologies has also shared his views. He said, “We are pleased to partner with Manitowoc Cranes on their advent to capture the potential manufacturing opportunities in the growing economies. This partnership stands testimony to HCL’s engineering prowess and innovation culture which drives global corporations to engage with us”.
