The Islamabad Police have made comprehensive security arrangements for Christmas and special deployment would be ensured at churches and public places.
More than 300 policemen would be deployed around churches in Islamabad. Foolproof security arrangements have been planned for Christmas and special checking outside churches.
IGP Islamabad Bani-Amin Khan said that the Islamabad Police have made foolproof security arrangements for Christmas.
He said that greenbelts near churches would be searched thoroughly, while Mobile Eagle, Falcon squads and police commandoes would patrol in these areas.
SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq said that security duty at public places, including parks, was being made more effective. Security has been tightened at all entry and exit points of the capital and special checking has been ordered for this special occasion.
The SSP directed all superintendents of police, sub-divisional police officers and station house officers to make arrangements for effective patrolling in their respective areas.
Plainclothesmen and well-equipped policemen would also perform duties outside churches and at public places. All hotels and guesthouses would be thoroughly searched for suspects.
