DUBAI: Dubai Metro Commuters were left miffed on Monday by a sudden disruption of service on the Red Line, causing a lot of confusion.
Office goers in the morning said they reached work late due to a stoppage of trains on the Red Line going towards Rashidiya, though the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) provided shuttle bus services between Dubai Marina and Nakeel stations. “There was a lot of confusion when the train stopped, the announcements were not clear and when all the people got off the Metro there was a sudden rush to catch the buses, which weren’t enough,” said a commuter who wished not to be named. Another commuter urged RTA to work out the issue as there are frequent disruptions.
