The admissions for evening classes of Masters, BS Honours, diploma and certificate program of the University of Karachi (KU) for the year 2013 will begin from Monday (today), Director Evening Program, KU, Prof Dr Abu Zar Wajdi announced on Sunday.
According to him, admissions are being offered for BS Honours in Actuarial Sciences and Risk Management, Agriculture and Agri Business Management, Applied
Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Applied Physics,
Audiology and Speech Pathology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, Business Administration, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics, Education, English, Environmental Studies, Food Science and Technology,
General History,
Psychology, Public Administration, Sociology, Special Education, Statistics, Urdu, Women Studies and Zoology.
The candidates applying for Master’s program could submit their forms for MBA, MCS, Library and Information Science and Pharm D courses. The KU is also offering certificate courses in Arabic, Child Psychology, Human Behaviour, Mathematics, Social Work, Library and Information Science, Mass Communication, Persian Language, Petroleum Technology, Urdu and Local Government, he said.
The admission forms along with prospectus could be obtained on payment of Rs1,000 till December 26 from the UBL bank counter at the Silver Jubilee Gate of KU, he said.
At least 45 per cent marks are required for seeking admission in graduation program.
However, 50 per cent marks would be required for BBA and MBA program while students with 55 per cent marks could apply for BSSE/BSCS program.
Details of aptitude test are mentioned in the prospectus and departments which offer admissions after entry exams would announce dates in future, he added.
