KARACHI: The rupee showed strength against the dollar on Friday in the range-bound trading activity at the interbank market, said dealers.
The rupee closed at 96.59 to a dollar at the interbank market, up by seven paisas against Thursday’s closing of 96.66. However, the rupee was being traded at 97.3 for buying and at 97.7 for selling in the open market.
Market dealers said that the local currency posted some recovery as pressure on the rupee was somehow eased due to lower demand of the greenback from importers.
