ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Army Staff Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani on Friday called on President Asif Ali Zardari and discussed the law & order situation with particular reference to the security arrangements during Muharram.
Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf also joined the meeting and apprised the president and COAS of the security measures being adopted by the government for the protection of the life and property of the people, particularly during the Muharram processions and Majalis.
According to media reports, they also exchanged views on the national security issues and the latest wave of terrorism in the meeting held at the President House.The prime minister assured the president that security forces would be facilitated with all kinds of resources to ensure law and order situation across the country.
